Fishing is Fun & Education
The Division of Wildlife, Morgan County Extension Office, and City of Brush! will be hosting 'Fishing is Fun' and Outdoor Education day at Doty Ponds. The event will take place on June 1st @ 9am. This program is for kids ages 14 and under. Fishing poles/supplies will be given out WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. You may bring your own fishing poles/supplies.
Hot dogs will be served. Look for more details in the paper or on our Facebook page.
Brush Area Museum Summer History Camp
This year's camp is designed around Civil War era history in Colorado, Morgan county family experiences during WWI era, a primer on steam power, American Flag history & folding protocol, and other Colorado history and American history related subjects. The camp, by design, will encompass a variety of subjects.
Location: Brush Museum (314 S. Clayton St.)
For students who have just completed 2nd-6th grades
Dates: June 7-9
Time: 8:00am-4:00pm on 7th & 8th, 8:00am-1:00pm on 9th
Camp fee is this year will be a free-will donation made at the museum (the day of the History Camp) in memory of Mr. Bruce Fyfe.
Lunches are provided. Please register before 5/25/19 so lunch can be planned.
Kids can be dropped off and picked up at the Brush Area Museum each day.
Disc Golf Lessons
FREE disc gold lessons will be held at Watrous Park Disc Golf Course this year! Come learn the basics along with some advanced techniques to improve your game in this great outdoor leisurely sport! Loaner discs will be available.

The Brush High School weight room is available to the public Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. There is a wide variety of cardiovascular, free and machine weights for you to use. For more information please contact the Brush Recreation Department.

Eben Ezer Junior Volunteer Program 2018
We are looking forward to a fun and active summer with the Jr. Volunteer program and our Neighbors. You are invited to join our volunteer program if you are ten years old or have completed the fifth grade.
Applications will be delivered to schools the first week of May or you may also pick them up at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. Applications can be delivered to to your teacher or at the front desk of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
There will be two informational meetings for students and parents. All students must attend one of the meetings and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The first meeting will be held on Monday, May 20th at 7pm in the Sun Room. The second meeting will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 10am in the Sun Room. Please plan on attending one of these mettings to participate in the program. If you are unable to attend either of these meetings, please call Shaire Chavez @ 970-842-2861 x9246 or email@example.com to make arrangements.
Volunteers will participate in Eden Apprentice training on June 4-5 from 10am-2pm in the Activity Room. Please plan on attending this informative training. If you have participated in this training, you are not required to participate again.
Volunteers will begin work on June 11th. Thank you for your interest in participating in our program.
EMCL Summer Reading Program
Join us this summer for the 2018 Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is: Libraries Rock.
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 BLAST OFF! Come blast-off with the staff at the East Morgan County Library this summer. The Summer Reading Program theme this year is "Universal Stories", a speace there in honor of the 50-year anniversay of the Apollo landing. We will have special programs throughout the summer months, at 3pm on the following Wednesdays: June 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th and July 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. There will be a wide variety of family-friendly programs including: Megan Casey, an award-winning ventriloquist; a rotation station; and a program provided by STEMpunkED. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
Along with these special programs, we will also have our reading contest for kids and adults. It is easy. All you really have to do is... READ! We have a card that you fill out after reading 10 hours and turn in at the frotn dest. Then you get to pick a prize from a small treasure chest. Anyone who has turned in at least one reading card during the summer will get to come pick an additional prize. Maybe you could have a contest among friends or even family members!
Story time will continue on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am during the summer months. This is a fun and engaging time for kids between the ages of one and five, where we read storeies, sing songs, and do a craft. (Do not worry - we will not ask you to leave if you do not quite fit that age bracket) There will be no story time on May 29th or 31st, or on August 7th, 9th, 14th and 16th.
