Scotts Pitch Hit & Run Competition

Pitch, Hit, and Run is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the 'FUN' element of baseball competition. Since there is no registration fee for this program, every boy or girl, ages 7-14 will have a chance to compete. Participants will compete in three important aspects of baseball: pitching, hitting and running. This event will take place at the Joslin-Needham Softball Complex on May 1st at 2:00 pm.


Fishing is Fun/Outdoor Skills Day and Wildlife Education

The Division of Wildlife, Morgan County Extension Office, and City of Brush! will be hosting 'Fishing is Fun' and Outdoor Education day at Doty Ponds. The event will take place on June 3rd. Look for details in the paper or later on, on our Facebook page. There will be outdoor educational classes for kids such as fishing, archery, and shooting. This program is for kids ages 14 and under. More details to follow


Brush Area Museum Summer History Camp

"Dawn of the 20th Century"

Our settlement moves into the years 1890 to 1914 at this year's camp. We will be taking a trip to the Agriculture Heritage Center in Longmont, expanding Olden Future, electing new town officials and having a Living History Day.

For students who have just completed 2nd-5th grades

Dates: June 8-10

Time: 8:00am-4:00pm on 8th & 9th, 8:00am-1:00pm on 10th

Camp fee is only $10.00 per student or $5 per camper if family is a member of the Museum

Lunches are provided. Parents are invited to join us on Saturday for the living History demonstration and chuck wagon lunch.

Comfortable walking shoes will be needed on Thursday, work clothes (we will be painting) and closed-toed shoes on Friday. Campers are encouraged to dress in period constume and be in character for Saturday's activities. Join us for a trip back in time to learn about ur Northeast Colorado heritage. Kids can be dropped off and picked up at the Brush Area Museum each day.


Tumbling classes will be offered for children ages 3 years to the 3rd grade. Classes are divided according to age and ability level and may be combined depending on the number of kids who sign up. Skills taught in this class range from basic stretching techniques to advanced combinations. This class is held at the Brush High School Wrestling room on Mondays beginning June 5th.

Arts & Crafts

Kindergarten - 5th graders come and learn how to make all sorts of fun little projects! This program begins June 6th at the Jaycee Building at VFW Memorial Park. You don't need to bring anything other than your creative hands!

Disc Golf Lessons

FREE disc gold lessons will be held at Watrous Park Disc Golf Course this year! Come learn the basics along with some advanced techniques to improve your game in this great outdoor leisurely sport! Loaner discs will be available.

Monday nights at 5pm May 1st-22nd


The Brush High School weight room is available to the public Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. There is a wide variety of cardiovascular, free and machine weights for you to use. For more information please contact the Brush Recreation Department.

Fee: $30/20 punch ticket or $2 drop-in

Eben Ezer Junior Volunteer Program 2016

We are looking forward to a fun and active summer with the Jr. Volunteer program and our Neighbors. You are invited to join our volunteer program if you are ten years old or have completed the fifth grade.

Applications will be delivered to schools the first week of May or you may also pick them up at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. Applications are due May 19, 2017 to your homeroom teacher or at the front desk of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.

There will be two informational meetings for students and parents. All students must attend one of the meetings and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The first meeting will be held on Monday, May 22nd at 7pm in the Sun Room. The second meeting will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 10am in the Sun Room. Please plan on attending one of these mettings to participate in the program. If you are unable to attend either of these meetings, please call Shaire Chavez @ 970-842-2861 x9246 or to make arrangements.

Volunteers will participate in Eden Apprentice training on May 30th, and 31st from 10am-2pm in the Activity Room. Please plan on attending this informative training. If you have participated in this training, you are not required to participate again.

Volunteers will begin work on June 6th. Thank you for your interest in participating in our program.

EMCL Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading activities will begin Wednesday, June 7th @ 3:30pm at the East Morgan County Library. Other program dates will be held on June 14th, 21st and 28th, and July 12th and 19th. The final program is scheduled for Wednesday, July 26th in the evening, with more information to follow. Registration is not necessary to attend any of the programs.

The reading portion of the program runs from June 1st-August 31st and is for yyoung and old alike. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is for babies - Kindergarten aged children. We would love to give you more information about the 2017 Summer Reading Program.
