Brush Police Dept now hiring for a

Records Clerk


Full time with excellent benefits!

$14.52/hr.


Some of the responsibilities and duties include:

  • Serves as Records Clerk. Oversees Police Department records and is responsible for receiving/processing, organizing, storing, and retaining various documents and records. Maintains Police Department Record Retention and Destruction Plan.
  • Acts as CJIS operator and is responsible for accurate and timely data entry.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely data entry and reporting to various County, State and Federal agencies.
  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone and direct contact. Responsible for providing all customers and the public with excellent service.
  • Prepares Police reports for submission to District Attorney's Office, including all eDiscovery submissions.
  • Acts as secondary evidence custodian and assists with evidence as directed.

  • Qualifications:

    Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access.

    Continuing training is vital and required.

    Must pass an background check.

    Must pass CCIC & NCIC testing within 90 days of hire.

    Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Associate Degree in Business or 2 years of college education in business related field preferred.

    At least 3 years progressively responsible office preferred.
